Farm

Wood Advent is leading the charge in regenerative or agroecological farming. Find out how and why we made dramatic, permanent changes to our farm and the food we produce in a bid to protect and regenerate the habitats, ecosystems and landscapes that make farming on Exmoor a privilege and the future a positive one.

About

A true family affair, we have been working this land since at least the 1740s. Now, the 13th generation (at least), is borrowing wisdom and techniques from that past to help secure our future. We're reinstating many of the old ways, but this time with the backing of vanguard technologies and exciting collaborations. From tithe maps to tourism, ancient monuments to monumental data analysis, this is the story of Wood Advent and its people.

Blog

Sometimes, you can look up from the Exmoor soil through the clear air to the rolling hills or dappled sea and you have to pinch yourself. Other times, frankly, an office job seems like a much better idea. Then there’s everything in between.

Never boring, often entertaining, occasionally infuriating and life-affirming all at the same time, this is what really goes down on the farm.
